Adana Press

Adana press

I have recently bought an Adana press. The popular Adana Printing presses were manufactured from 1922 – 1999, in Twickenham, England. Although most of the presses produced by Adana were aimed at hobby printers, they were frequently put to commercial use. You can’t buy new presses anymore but you can buy reconditioned ones at Caslon, or ebay. I have created a few pieces of work already on this, will post soon.

Finally got my hands on this book. Its a new release from Taschen. I have not yet read the book but from first appearances it looks good. If your a fan of Ornamental Type then this book is for you. As well as getting a book, you get a key card which gives you access to a 1000 high resolution scans from the book. Volume 2 is out next year.

Phyllis Dillon

Phyllis Dillon

The first post of my blog is about Phyllis Dillon. I have been a big fan of hers but have never owned any of her records. So at the weekend I went to Dub Vendor in Clapham with my chum Smitherz and bought one of my favorite single of her’s – Woman of the ghetto. She is one of the greatest female reggae artists of all time, I will definitely be buying more of her stuff.
