Being Blondie

Just been to the ‘Being Blondie’ exhibition at Proud Camden. Great images of the stunning Debbie Harry taken by Brian Aris. It runs until 18 February.

The ‘N Betweens

This band would form the foundations of what was to become one of the most famous and successful British groups of the early 1970, Slade. They didn’t record many songs in there short time. You can hear them on spotify. I want to get hold of there record’s but can’t get them anyway, if anyone knows of a place let me know.

Hildegard Knef – Die Großen Erfolge

Just bought Hildegard Knef’s album, Die Großen Erfolge from Germany. I heard the track ‘fever’ on Mark Lamarr’s God’s Jukebox and had to get the album.

New Bike

I recently purchased a new bike. Its a vintage Raleigh record converted to a fixed wheel. I will be respraying it so it doesn’t look like a ghost bike and changing it to a single speed as a fixed wheel is a bit much for me. Looking forward to beasting it around London.

Shut Up and Dance

shut-up-and-dance

I recently bought this record. My good friend and fellow Faculty member Jam Master Josh introduced me to the duo who started the Hackney rave label in 1989. They have a compilation album out now called How the East was won, which has tracks from the past 20 years of the label. More can be read at FACT Magazine.
