I’ve always been into latin music. Willie Colon is one of the greats. The barbican are putting on a gig of his at Hackney Empire. I would highly reccomend this.

This is a new night at the Drop in stoke newington, set up by Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston. I went to the launch night which had a really good vibe, full of people who loved the music. The only problem was that you get charged £3.50 for a can of red stripe in a pub but a great night nevertheless. I shall be going next time.

I have just discovered one of my favourite reggae artists, Bim Sherman. His compilation album called Tribulation is flawless, worth a purchase at Pressure Sounds or a listen on Spotify.
